With so many of the Premier League games postponed due to clashes with FA cup fixtures, we are left with barely enough games to get us in that weekend football frenzy the Premier League brings. But it’s still a football weekend, so strap yourselves in.
In the first game of the weekend, Manchester City will make the trip to Carrow Road to face Norwich, who are in deep waters fighting to avoid the drop. City will be without Yaya Toure due of the recurrence of a heel injury, but they will need to make a statement in this game in order to keep the challenge on the top 3 teams. Norwich can’t afford to lose this one though, knowing fully well that a defeat will send them further in the wrong direction.
Tottenham are probably not the team that Aston Villa will like to host this weekend, considering their current form. If the 7 changes made during the week by Pochettino is anything to go by, then Spurs’ statement of mounting a strong title challenge has been clearly defined. Hard to see Villa being the ones to stop them.
