Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski, who in 1978, fled to France before he was due to receive sentencing for the crime of unlawful sex with a 13-year-old minor, Samantha Geimer, would still be rueing his bad luck as the victim has called for a swift end to proceedings.
Samantha has called on Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon to sentence Polanski in absentia or dismiss the case finally, so that she can move on with her life.
‘‘I would implore you to do this for me, out of mercy for myself, I am not speaking on behalf of Roman, but justice’’, said the sad victim, now 54-years-old.
Samantha declares that she has forgiven Polanski, although she agreed a settlement of $500,000 back in 1993, after she sued the movie director.
Polanski on the other hand has been keeping clear of the united states as he fears attempts to arrest him, he couldn’t receive his 2002 award for best director at the Oscars due to this.
