Adedeji Adesanmi Charles, also known as Àkànjí Arts, is a Pen Artist and Writer.
“My art is an extension of me, I see what others don’t and I try to capture that in drawing. To me beauty is in every human being but due to society and other factors, we call some ugly. I hope to show the whole world how beautiful humanity really is, especially women.
“They’re our mothers, our sisters, our daughters, and I’ve noticed that instead of the worship and praise they deserve, all they receive is criticism and violence. I just wish the rest of humanity can see what I see, that’s basically why I do what I do. There’s a message in each artwork if we look past the size.”
“I’ve been drawing as long as I can remember, sketching was a hobby in primary and junior secondary school, but I didn’t really focus on art as something to be serious with till 2012/2013.”
