Oshoala, Oparanozie, and 38 others called up for AWCON Qualifiers


The coaching staff of Nigeria’s senior women national team, Super Falcons, headed by Coach Florence Omagbemi, has invited 40 players, including Liverpool forward Asisat Oshoala and Guingamp forward, Desire Oparanozie to camp ahead of the 2016 Africa Women Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against either Senegal or Guinea.

The Falcons, who are seven-time champions, have drawn a bye into the second round of the qualifying series, with the final competition slated for November in Cameroon. The senior women teams of Senegal and Guinea will contend over two legs in March, with the winner to battle the Super Falcons in home-and-away contests between April 4 and 12.

The invited players will all report today at Serob Legacy Hotel, Wuye, Abuja on Tuesday, March 1
