The 89th Academy Awards ceremony took place on February 26, 2017, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
Music drama, La La Land, won the most awards at the 2017 edition of the OSCARS with six awards. Moonlight won three awards, including Best Picture although La La Land was first mistakenly announced as the Best Picture by presenter Faye Dunaway.
Hacksaw Ridge and Manchester by the Sea grabbed two awards each.
The Best Animated Feature title went to Zootopia and the Best Animated Short statuette went to the team behind Piper.
Other winners include Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Fences, The Jungle Book, O.J.: Made in America, The Salesman, Sing, Suicide Squad and The White Helmets.
Viola Davis also won the category for Best Supporting Actress for her role in ‘Fences’.
