As the winner of the The Spark Rookie contest for March 2015, Olushola Oladapo, a professional photographer based in Abeokuta, Ogun state received “The Spark”- an incentive to help him achieve his dreams – from The Spark Boss for March, Akinsola Muse, producer of over 25 MTN commercials. On the 8th of May 2015, Olushola was empowered with a paid internship in filmmaking with Akinsola Muse. The presentation took place in Magodo as Akinsola prepared to shoot a video commercial.
Despite being a graduate of English and Literary Studies from the University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state, Olushola decided to pursue a career in photography after school. His passion for the profession and his drive to see himself succeed helped him develop his photography skills. Apart from working for a media firm in Abeokuta, ‘Shola takes up other jobs such as Wedding photography.

Apart from photography, Olushola is really conversant with the business of Cinematography and also has a flair for acting.
In his discussion with Tobi Lanre Solarin, a team member at The Spark, ‘Shola observed that the major reason for poor video production in Nigeria was due to finance. According to him, producers that get home video production right are those who have invested in their education and own the right set of equipment. This statement was in approval of Akinsola’s attention to detail as he and his team set up their equipment for the commercial.
