The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, has said that Nigerians made steps towards progress when they voted for the APC in the 2015 Presidential elections, adding that thing will only get better and the country would witness a turn-around in 2017.
The director of publicity, Mr. Olawale Sadare, made this known in the party’s New Year message to the people of Oyo State.
Part of the message read: “The greatest collective feat ever achieved by Nigerians was recorded in 2015 when they rescued their nation from the verge of the precipice and imminent perdition in the hands of the PDP hawks.
“Meanwhile, the damage to our national life had almost been done before the nation was rescued and this was responsible for the untoward hardship of the past 19 months on the citizenry.
“It is in view of this that most of the strategic intervention measures of the Buhari administration seemed not to have yielded the desired results although most discerning minds see the government as performing to expectations.
“With the crushing of the Boko Haram insurgency, stability of petroleum products supplies, self-sufficiency in rice production, reduction of official corruption menace and many more, things can only get better as Nigerians are set to witness a lot of improvement and turn-around in 2017.
“More importantly, the good people of Oyo State would not be left behind in the scheme of developmental strings in the coming years as Governor Abiola Ajimobi is not resting on his oars to better his own personal record of achievements”.
