As various people marked the 33rd International Day of Peace, Monday, Miss Tourism Nigeria World 2015, Ifeoma Sharon Anya was not left out as she visited Solid Base Private School, Enugu State, Nigeria, to celebrate with the kids and students of the school.
Proprietress, Solid Base Private School, Chief Barrister Mrs Tessy Igweani welcomed Queen Anya – who was accompanied by Miss Tourism South-South, Iyene Bassey – very warmly and ushered them to the assembly of students for the day where the Queens had an enlightening and interactive session with the students.
During this visit, the Queens were also taken on a tour of the school premises.
In a chat with Vanguard Spark’s Lucy Ora, Queen Anya confirmed that it was part of her project to take tourism to Enugu State as well as visit a school in commemoration of the 33rd International Day of Peace. Furthermore, “Solid Base Private School is one of the best schools in Enugu”, she added.
Speaking on her reception, Queen Anya said: “Oh, I was warmly received and hosted well. Solid Base is a very neat school with well-behaved students who were so excited to have me in their midst.”
Gifts of drinks and learning materials were also being donated to the school.
International Day of Peace, sometimes unofficially known as World Peace Day, was first celebrated in 1982 and has since been observed annually on 21 September in dedication to world peace.
