Frederick Oyinvbi, also known as Rhymz is a visual artist and fashionpreneur, who is into art and fashion.
Frederick started drawing when he was a little child and then he decided to follow up professionally considering he had a lot of passion for the art. Then he went ahead to study Art at Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo state.
Talking about his challenges, the visual artist says, “In paintings, my challenges are inferior art materials; it is difficult to get standard art materials for paintings unless I decide to order for it overseas, which is very expensive. And concerning fashion, power failure has been a major challenge and also, some made-in-Nigerian fabrics are not standard enough to satisfy some clients that are very much into details.
The sources of inspiration of the fashionpreneur are hiphop music, movies and nature.
Talking the project that cemented his belief in himself, he mentioned, “street fashion exhibition in collaboration with a colleague of mine @osa_seven “change clothes” 2005 FESTAC town.”
Rhymz is looking forward to an international exhibition.
And concerning youth empowerment, he believes, “every youth should start something, be productive, and be creative … if the passion is there. Success will come someday no matter how long it might take.”
