Meet 16-year-old Who Owns a Fashion Label and How You Too Can Start Yours

Dreams will remain fantasies  until you do something about them. Tumisola Ladega is a 16-year-old fashion designer who owns a fashion label called Tumiila.

The young CEO is a student of the International School for Creative Arts where she recently received an award and a bursary for outstanding achievement from the  Honorary President of the school, Professor Jimmy Choo.

Tumisola, who lives in the United Kingdom began to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer at 12 and had her designs feature in competitions. She founded her fashion label in 2012 at 14 and has since produced series of collections as well as individual garment projects.

Through these years her designs have graced the catwalks of major fashion shows and fashion weeks in Miami, Maryland USA, Lagos Nigeria, South Africa and of course London.

As a developing label, Tumiila touches all areas, from high end couture to urban, and from evening to ready to wear. Tumisola is now 16 years old and her work has also had the privilege of recognition  by the honourable Joan Burstein and Professor Jimmy Choo.

Tumisola received Prof. Choo’s award during the graduation of her seniors at the school where she studies for A levels, and was commended for her outstanding work in Fashion and Design and for making such remarkable progress in the short time.
