Louis Van Gaal might be on his way out of Old Trafford much sooner than some of us expected. The recent defeat to Southampton where the team was booed off the pitch by their own fans again, at half-time and full-time has fueled the pressure the United boss was already under.
Executive Vice-Chairman of the club, Ed Woodward, has sort the opinion of United’s senior players about the Dutchman’s coaching methods following a run of form which has seen England’s most successful club fall 5 points behind the Champions League positions.
The United players seem to have stopped responding to the Gaffer’s methods and this might force the club’s board into making a desperate decision. If the decision is made however, Ryan Giggs would most likely be the first choice pick to head the club until the end of the season, despite speculations that Jose Mourinho wants the job.
Giggs, who was in charge of the last four games after David Moyes got fired two years ago, might not be willing to go down the same path again but wants the backing of the board to take the job on a permanent basis.
