Liverpool are on the verge of signing Roma winger, Mohamed Salah for a reported fee of £34m.
The 25-year-old who had a brief spell in the English Premier League after join Chelsea from Basel in 2014 has been a target for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp for a while.
The fee is just short of the club’s current club record transfer fee paid for Andy Caroll in 2011 but matches the fee paid for Sadio Mane which made him the most expensive African player in 2016.
Salah was a target for Liverpool in 2014 before opting to join Chelsea. Loans spells with Fiorentina and Roma followed after failing to nail down a regular starting place, he later joined Roma permanently for £15m last summer.
Salah scored 15 goals in 31 league appearances for Roma last season.
