Renowned hip-hop vocalist, Kendrick Lamar has made his stance on US President, Donald Trump clearly known and we can tell it is unpleasant.
The rapper takes a dig at Trump in “The Heart Part 4,” a nearly five-minute track of rapid-fire rhyme which was released late Thursday night. The song is loosely inspired by funk legend James Brown’s “Don’t Tell a Lie About Me and I Won’t Tell the Truth On You”.
“Donald Trump is a chump, know how we feel, punk,” Kendrick Lamar raps midway through the song
”Tell ‘em that God comin’ / And Russia need a replay button, ya’ll up to somethin’,” Lamar added referring to the Trump presidential campaign’s alleged ties with Russia.
“Electoral votes look like memorial votes / But America’s truth ain’t ignorin’ the votes,” he added, aimed at Trump’s inability to win the popular vote in the presidential election.
Lamar has been vocally airing his views on society issues. Recall that his “Alright” song quickly made its way to becoming an unofficial anthem of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Lamar joins a band of rappers such as Eminem, Ice Cube and Pitbull taking digs at President Trump in songs and on social media. Another rapper, Snoop Dogg fired a fake gun with a flag reading “BANG” at a Trump-look-alike clown in the video for his song “Lavender.”
