“12 people have looked at your profile in the past 3 days,” LinkedIn proclaims when you log in. Each and every one those views is a potential lead for your business, according to John Rampton, Founder of invoicing software startup Due and a digital marketing expert recently named one of the Top 50 Online Influencers in the World by Entrepreneur Magazine.
“I’ve started following up with everyone that looks at my profile,” Rampton says. “This has helped me establish some very meaningful business relationships that have helped launch my business to the next level.”
To find this information, choose “Who’s Viewed Your Profile,” under “Profile” in the menu bar. You’ll have to upgrade to a premium profile to view an extended list of your profile views, but if you check this page regularly, you can keep a pretty solid eye on who might be interested in working with you. Reach out to them via LinkedIn or email and say something like, “I noticed you viewed my profile and I’d love to talk with you more about how I can help you.”
