Ayobami Macaulay, who is also called Makay, is an entrepreneur, a photographer, a filmmaker and a motivator. He also co-owns a media company called Orbit Creative Hub.”
Speaking on how he started, he says, “I started photography with a friend back in 2009 straight out of university because we were anticipating the possibility of dealing with a very tough job market. We have been very fortunate to have worked with quite a number of notable brands within and outside the country. We made our first foray into the film industry in Nigeria with our feature film “Taxi Driver (Oko Ashewo)” and we are moving towards becoming a fully fledged media house.”
“Personally, I enjoy travel photography with a focus on Landscape and I take any opportunity I can get to visit places in Nigeria with fantastic scenery and rich history.”
Ayobami hopes that his art passes on a message of gratitude. “We should be grateful that time and chance merged together to provide us with beautiful scenery and even more engaging stories of how such scenery has affected the lives of the people that live there.”
The travel photographer is inspired by the fact that an unseen force has arranged vast landscapes in a way that inspires awe and in some instances fear but, all in all, a sense of gratitude.
