Despite falling to a 2-0 defeat to Australia, Super Falcons coach, Edwin Okon has expressed optimism over their chances of progressing to the next round of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
A brace from Kyah Simon now leaves the Okon and his girls on the brink of crashing out of the World Cup but the coach thinks they can still qualify.
“It’s one of those football games,” Okon told newsmen after the game.
“Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
“We still have a chance to advance when we play the USA. We’re not out yet.”
The Falcons face the USA on Wednesday at 1am Nigerian time needing to win to stand a chance of reaching the round of 16.
