Crystal Palace are already through to the semi-final of the FA Cup after their 2-0 win over Reading, yesterday. They now await the other 3 cup games this weekend to find out the teams to join them in the semis.
Chelsea make the trip to Goodison Park to take on Everton. The last time these two sides met in the FA Cup in 2011, Everton eliminated Chelsea on penalties. Chelsea will be happy to get away from Stamford Bridge after their midweek disappointment and Goodison Park might be the best place to visit with Everton having only one win in their last eight home league games. This game, this competition is actually all the London club has to save an abysmal season.
Arsenal play host to Watford on Sunday and with the PL title a little far from their reach now, they may turn to their sights to retaining their trophy. No club in recent times has won the competition three years in a row, the last being Blackburn who did it 130 years ago.
Manchester United may not be mentally ready for another game so soon, especially when the visitors are a resilient West Ham side, who have won their last four games. After the disappointing performance against Liverpool during the week, Van Gaal and his boys must put on a show or risk being booed by their own fans till the end of the season.
