Etisalat Nigeria Has Three Weeks to Come up With a New Name


All UAE shareholders of Etisalat Nigeria have pulled out of the company as Etisalat International has terminated its management agreement with the Nigerian branch leaving the banks to take over.

Hatem Dowidar, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Etisalat International said in a statement to Reuters on Monday.

This is coming days after Boye Olusanya was named CEO of Etisalat Nigeria, after former Chairman Hakeem Belo-Osagie resigned.

According to Hatem, the international body is deliberating giving technical support to Etisalat Nigeria by allowing them to use the brand for another three weeks before finally pulling the rug.
