Oyeleye Moses Olajuwon, also known as Léye Moses or just Léye, is a Creative Artist, majored in Painting.
The graduate of Creative Arts from University of Lagos is also a musician, who has a debut single titled, “Don’t Give Up,” to his credit.
“I started out being self-taught, but then had someone who was mentoring and guiding me. After my Secondary school education, I apprenticed under a professional portrait artist for about 2 years, where I got my preliminary knowledge of the Art business before my university education.”
“I get commissioned to do portraits for people, often time as gifts to other people till date. I was able to complete my university education with the art business of portraiture. Throughout my stay on campus, I was self-dependent; relying on gains from my art. And also thanks to friends who believed in me and supported me. Now I’m a graduate (glory to God), and my journey to greatness as a professional artist has just begun.”
“I’ve worked with almost every medium at my disposal as a painter, and I seek to explore even more. Right now the coloured Biros are what I’m exploring and I’m exploiting the possibilities therein presently.”
“Well, besides being commissioned to do portraits, I also use my portraits to express how I feel and in response to happenings in our society. I’m humanity driven in my compositions.”
Humanity inspires his art. “A lot happen in our world everyday, which is majorly as a result of human activities; political, economical, social and cultural. I can best convey whatever idea I have though portraiture.”
