Reports had suggested in the early hours of Friday morning, that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte was considering leaving the club as he wasn’t content with the behaviour of the club in the current transfer window.
But Chelsea officials have dismissed those fears and insisted the Italian will remain at the club, according to Sky Sports News HQ. The information is that Conte will resume for pre-season in July and continue in his duties.
The former Juventus Coach arrived at Chelsea last season and won the Primier League Title with the blues while applying his favoured formation with 3 at the back. Just last week a text message from the manager to his first choice striker, Diego Costa was the topic surrounding his Chelsea career, as he informed the striker of his intention to not use him next season.
It is understood that Conte has a summer wish list, but is a bit frustrated by the lack of transfer activity as he desires it, the club hierarchy also may have been displeased by his actions in the way he handled Costa.
While the transfer window is still open, the Club technical director will continue efforts to secure deals with the manager’s choice targets.
