President Muhammadu Buhari has written his first letter to the National Assembly, particularly the Upper Chambers seeking approval to appoint 15 advisers.
The letter was readon the floor of the Senate on Tuesday by the Senate president, David Mark.
The appointments would be the second for the new president who only named his spokespersons and chief of protocol on Sunday.
Earlier, the Senate had congratulated Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and all the 29 governors who were sworn in on Saturday.
In his remarks, Mr. Mark urged the President and all the governors to observe the rule of law as they go about administering the country.
