Jules O’Dwyer and her performing dog Matisse, romped to victory as they were announced winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2015, last night.
The 49-year-old and her border collie are the second dog act to win the contest, following Pudsey’s victory in 2012.
Ms O’Dwyer, who will now be performing at the Royal variety Show, described the win as ‘unreal’.
“It’s fantastic, amazing. I’m going to have to buy a corgi!” She added.
Narrowly missing out on the £250,ooo prize was magician Jamie Raven, while the 167-strong Welsh choir, Cor Glanaethwy, came third.
Singer, Calcum Scott, had been tipped to win, but his chances took a hit when he fluffed the words and coughed nervously during his cover of Rihanna’s hit- Diamonds.
Meanwhile, judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon prompted complaints about the dresses they wore last night, both slashed to the waist.
Amanda, 44, who has already triggered complaints to Ofcom about her racy outfits this series, described her floaty blue gown as ‘Frozen meets Cinderella’ while 36-year-old Alesha wore a clinging lace number.
The final drew 13.4 million viewers on Sunday night, with the show becoming this year’s highest rating programme on TV so far.
