Britains Fattest Man, Carl Thompson, Dies At 33

Carl Thompson was known as Britain’s fattest man, with his total weight adding up to an astonishing 65 stone.

Thompson however lost his obesity battle, Monday, passing away at the age of 33, just one month after he had chosen to publicly ask for help by appearing on ‘This Morning’.

Thompson lived alone in his apartment and would consume a daily menu that consisted of 10,000 calories.

He was found deceased in his Dover apartment, with police, fire crews and an ambulance service taking several hours to remove Thompson’s body from the premises.

A police spokesman has commented on the unfortunate event saying, “Kent Police were called at 10.38am to a property in Dofras Place, Dover, following reports that a man in his 30s had died. Officers do not believe the death to be suspicious. The coroner will be notified.”

Thompson’s close friend, Craig Chapman has also expressed his sadness about his friend’s passing saying, “I have just seen that Carl Thompson has sadly died. I’ve known Carl many years and (he) was a very good friend of mine when I lived in Dover. I used to play pool and have a few pints with him when he was mobile. I can’t believe it, so tragic.”

After appearing on TV, Thompson had received many offers of help, after he revealed that his continual bad relationship with food deteriorated further after the passing of his mother.

Having not worked since he was 17, Thompson was living off a disability allowance and incapacity benefits.
