In her message to Nigerian on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, Aisha Buhari, wife of Nigerian president, enjoined Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of love, compassion and unity. Aisha, who returned from London two weeks ago, thanked Nigerians for all their prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari and the country.
She later took part in the Eid prayers at the Guards Brigade, Mambilla Barracks in Abuja.
Here is her full message: “On this occasion of Eid el Fitr celebration, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, I felicitate with Nigerians and the Muslim Ummah over this opportunity to get closer to Allah (SWT).
“I also thank Nigerians for all their prayers for our dear country and the President, and call on all to imbibe the spirit of love, compassion and unity as basic lessons of Ramadan.
“I appeal to all to show true sense of patriotism for national cohesion to ensure that Nigeria attains the greatness for which it was destined”
In the same vein, we admonish all and sundry to bask in the joy of the season, and do more in the communities that they reside. Happy Sunday and Happy Eid-el-Fitri from all of us at The Spark Nigeria.
