We would have to wait a while longer for singer Adekunle Gold’s debut album. The album, which was scheduled to drop on June 1, will now be postponed to the following month, and the ‘Sade’ crooner has given the impending Ramadam fasting period as the reason for the delay.
The singer spoke about the album on Now O’ Clock podcast hosted by Wole, in an episode tagged ‘Creatives and Criticism.’ He said:
“I am pushing it forward a bit because of Ramadan, it was supposed to drop for June 1 before, but apparently it occurred to me that my muslim friends don’t listen to music during Ramadan, so it makes sense to push it forward because of them as well, so by God’s grace in July after Ramadan, and all of us can enjoy it together.”
The YBNL artist said the album was ‘80% done,’ while refusing to reveal guest artistes who would appear on the album.
